Organizations

Welcome

Why: Every day across our country, millions of Americans take time away from their work, their studies, and their families to give back to their communities. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, 26.8% of the American population volunteered through or for an organization at least once between September 2008 and September 2009. We wholeheartedly welcome your organization to be part of a coordinated strategy to harness and focus the energies of our citizens to the areas of greatest local need.

How: The volunteer opportunities currently posted on Impact Nashville's website only include the projects outlined in Nashville's Service Plan, which are related to our two priority areas of education and environment.

If your organization or project is not related to the priority need areas in the city's service plan, then we invite you to submit your organization to be submitted for approval as an Impact Nashville partner by clicking below. We are working with Hands On Nashville, an Impact Nashville partner and local volunteer agency, on the criteria for the submission process and will follow-up with you shortly with more information and next steps.

If you have a project you want to promote immediately, please contact Hands On Nashville.

We thank you for becoming a part of a coordinated strategy to encourage our community to serve our city’s needs. We welcome new partners that can offer innovative, impactful volunteer projects for our community.

In cities across America today, citizen service is often an underutilized or inefficiently utilized strategy by municipal governments. Cities of Service supports mayors to leverage citizen service strategies, addressing local needs and making government more effective.
